Young Toddler (15 - 24 months)
Toddlers are bundles of curiosity with an inquiring and demanding mind of their
own and endless energy. Your toddler’s typical day will combine indoor and outdoor
activities, providing a multitude of opportunities for developing sensory and motor
skills.
Young toddlers discover how the world works through textures, sights and sounds
and observe and interact with objects over and over again. They are presented with
a variety of fun and stimulating activities directed at developing balance, hand-eye
coordination, language and social skills. Daily experiences with art and music are
an important part of your toddler’s day. Your child will be offered opportunities
to make their own decisions whenever possible.
Our classroom is designed to support a safe environment where children can explore
and discover without constant “Don’ts” and “No’s.” The daily schedule is not “cast-in-stone”
and serves as a framework to provide a sense of consistency and security for children
and will be adapted to meet individual needs of children.
